Wonderlust!!!

Rolling in the rigmarole
Oblivious in staid and routine cadence
Through peril and hazard trifling
Salvaging another after one incidence
Chasing goals chimerical
Dreams but gone asunder
No gait upright none eyes bright
Where wonder is that thunder!

In the worldly pursuit of happiness
Collateral always is independence
Fueled by desires unsatiated
Deeper I sink in blithe decadence
May a day arrive I awake
Bound by none and any rejoinder
The path uncertain and promises none
My heart I follow, may it wander

Will such a day come ever
I wonder I wonder I wonder!

Ode to a teacher!!!

At crossroads stood the boy
Strife strewn and confused,
One end lay conformity supreme
Dreams at the other side extreme
At every step the expectations piled
Dream on my child, dream on my child

One comes across seldom
A person so severe yet so tender
And the gift greatest she gave
In victory and defeat to behave
Not despair nor celebrate wild
Dream on my child, dream on my child

Preparing to make in a world mark
Of possibilities glorious and misses gory
The hand that guided in uncertainty dark
Instilled courage in those days hoary
Belief that no dream was ever mild
Dream on my child, dream on my child

Every day our deeds did you tire
When words failed even action awaited
Yet you never ceased to inspire
You were the beacon that never abated
How I wish I could turn back the clock
Thank you for everything my teacher, you rock!

A Beautiful Day.... wasted!!!

In the partial darkness of dawn
From deep slumber I once again rise
As the sun threatens to break the hold
Of the night cold my lips concede
A smile for the promise of a day
A beautiful day indeed

Armed with the fury of a man possessed
The conflagration that comes from within
Up and about for the day ahead
Perspiring and toiling hard I prepare
Brimming with energy and youth
And the poise that experiences feed

Brings the 1st shot of caffeine
Attention to any hint of forbearance
Followed by another that interrupts
The monotony of the listless hour
Indulged again in chores trivial
I wait and wait for the eternal deed

With the strength of the sun weakening
I forbid hope to forfeit in despair
And the prospect of a brighter morrow
More hope and strength I borrow
Reminiscing about how sweet hard days tasted
This was, after all, just another beautiful day, wasted
